EPIMAN

Welcome

EPIMAN

What you need to know before your first day — vocabulary, processes, culture and tips for future SUP students.

About this document

EPIMAN, short for EPI(TA) + MAN(ual) — a not-so-subtle name, given you're currently doing exactly what you'll be told to do for the rest of your time here: RTFM. See the Dev humour & folklore page if you're not familiar with the acronym.

This manual is a compilation meant to help new students (future SUP) understand EPITA's vocabulary, processes and culture before the start of the year, and integrate faster.

It draws on the testimonies of current students and alumni (Discord exchanges from the class) and on the historical student FAQ.

Unofficial resource

Processes change from one year to the next. In case of contradiction, the scolarité (registrar) and official channels take precedence.

Where to start?

If you're just arriving, read in this order:

  1. Acronym glossary — so you're never lost.
  2. Program structure — the 5 years at a glance.
  3. Years, semesters, bimesters — the split that confuses everyone.

Then pick what you need: tools, infrastructure, assessments, going abroad, internships

And above all: take a look at the integration tips.

All the useful links in one place
